Since its beginning over 100 years ago, SEIKO has been involved with the timing of many world class sporting events.
SEIKO was the official timer at the Tokyo, Sapporo, Barcelona, Lillehammer, Nagano and Salt Lake City Olympic Games. SEIKO has had a long standing relationship with the IAAF as provider of timing services, most recently at the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships (UK) and the 9th IAAF World Athletics Championships (France). Locally, SEIKO has been the Official Timer for the Sun-Herald City to Surf since 1983, which is now the largest timed road race in the world attracting around 50,000 runners, further supporting SEIKO’s reputation for quality timing is the long-standing relationship as Official Timer for the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon since its conception in 1992. SEIKO are also proud to support tennis in Australia through the Medibank Private International as Official Timer. This annual event takes place in January and is renowned as a warm up event for the Australian Open and features top ranking local and overseas players.
